Born in Algeria, in Oran, on February 23, 1954, Louis Bertignac arrived in France at the age of three. The family first settled in the Parisian suburbs then in the 17th arrondissement of the capital. At the age of fourteen, Louis bought his first guitar and then joined various amateur groups. It was at twenty that he bought his famous Gibson SG, a revolution in the world of Rock.
Louis Bertignac meets Corinne Marienneau with whom he quickly falls in love. The passion for music unites the two young lovebirds. In 1976, a brand new music group was formed: Telephone . Jean-Louis Aubert, the leader, does not want female musicians in his training. Corinne Marienneau nevertheless becomes the bassist of the group. After a decade of success and extensive touring the band broke up. Louis Bertignac and Corinne Marienneau continue to collaborate together through a new formation: Bertignac and the Visitors. But the couple separated, while maintaining good relations.
After having worked on the albums of many other artists (Carla Bruni and Joyce Jonathan in particular), Louis Bertignac returned to the front of the stage, in 2011, as a juror of the tele-hook of TF1, The Voice and with the release of a new Grizzly album (that's really me). In 2015, he sealed his professional reunion with his former acolytes from the Telephone group , Jean-Louis Aubert and Richard Kolinka under the name of Insus, but Corinne Marienneau did not participate in their reformation.
On the private side, Louis Bertignac has two daughters with actress Julie Delafosse; Lola in 2004 and Lili in 2007. But the couple separated in 2008. Louis Bertignac found love on the arm of Laetitia Brichet. He became a father again on November 19, 2016, with the birth of a little boy named Jack. On August 22, 2021, his companion announced that the couple got married on July 24, 2021.
